Oliver Twist, the book written by Charles Dickens, uses a combination of merciless satire and grim realism to criticise the harsh Poor Laws and to highlight the effects of industrialism on 19th century England. In the book, the young orphan Oliver Twist lives a sad life where his only prospects are an early grace, prison, the workhouse, or Fagin’s gang. Poor child! He certainly would not have had a herrenuhren. There is a happy ending for Oliver however, who is rewarded for remaining pure-hearted when everyone else gives into evil by leaving London for a happy cared-for life in the countryside.

The prominent concern in Oliver Twist is poverty. The novel is unrelenting in its grim portrayal of decrepit London in the 1830s with descriptions of slums that are on the point of ruin. Dickens does deliver a rather mixed message in Oliver Twist as most of society’s dregs with whom Oliver associates with deserve their low place such as Sikes who is a thug and Fagin who lives by ruining children. Oliver, who is of kind heart and recoils at the idea of victimizing other people, turns out to be of gentle birth, thus the book gives out a rather confusing message.
Every woman dreams of having one, I know I do. So let's indulge ourselves momentarily and think about what it would be like to have a room dedicated entirely to our clothes! And I don't just mean a walk in wardrobe here. I mean a dressing room, with mirrors, lighting, compartments for clothes, seating, make up and hair. Everything a woman could ever want THE ideal room to make herself feel like a celebrity before a night out. So lets break it down, on a list of dream things, what would my dream dressing room contain?
This is Paris Hilton's dressing room!
1. The Hollywood starlet mirror, with the LED spotlights going all the way around the outside, like in the movie trailers and the backstage suits for rockstars. What better way to put your slap on than in front of one of those!

2. The revolving wardrobe, like in the movie Clueless, where she can arrange her outfit by computer and the colour co-ordinated rail moves by remote control. Lavish and genius!
3. A claw foot bathtub with Jacuzzi jets. I dont even know if that is possible, but thats why this is a dream dressing room isn't it!
4. A massive sound system so I can listen to my favourite music full volume while I get ready.
5. Purple and gold antique looking circular sofa just like this:

I'm so happy it's Friday! Work is almost over then I'm going home and having a long bath, tidying up my flat a bit and ordering a massive amount of pizza, garlic bread and whatever else looks nice on the menu. I've been good all week and thoroughly believe in having 'F- it Fridays'.

I'm going to ask boyfriend to pick up a bottle of wine on his way over, he'll be happy when he gets here because the Leatherman TTi I ordered online for him arrived this morning, so he can have fun figuring out all its features while we laze on the sofa and watch the Big Brother final.
The housemates were shocked when Tom left last night! He's alright, but he was a bit nasty in the beginning so I can see why others are more popular. I wonder if Alex will actually win!

Artificial light accounts for 19% of the worlds energy consumption, but 70% of that energy consumed could be reduced by switching to more efficient alternative lighting solution.
Introducing the LED lamp. It has already been seen in the likes of Christmas tree lights, torches, and bicycle lamps for many years now, and has the capacity to omit a great deal of light, without using an awful lot of energy. They also don't heat up the way other bulbs do.

An example of an LED lit office space.
If everyone switched to LED BULBS in their homes and offices it would greatly decrease the amount of wasted energy in the world. Plus they look nicer too!
I got really caught up in Big Brother this year, I've ended up watching it religiously!
I'm surprised at how much I've grown to like a lot of them. Louise is fab, she seems very genuine and really down to earth for someone so beautiful, at first sight you'd probably think she'd be a salf-obsessed nightmare but she's not at all.

Her relationship with Jay is quite cute too, they seem really happy and cute, although they're obviously desperate to get out and have their much longed-for 'alone time'.
He's turned into much more of a romantic than I would've expected too, especially for a guy who's slept with over 1000 women (urgh). It looks like flower delivery liverpool will probably make quite a bit of money from him if he's as romantic when he gets back home as he has been in the house!
